TO BUILD A BRIDGE:

ALLISON COLE

THE BASIC DESIGN OF MY WHOLE BRIDGE WAS TO INTERWEAVE THE STRUCTURE.

I USED SEVERAL LAYERS OF TOOTHPICKS SO THE ANGULAR PIECES COULD BE INTERWEAVED INTO THE TOP AND BOTTOM HORIZONTAL PIECES.

TO KEEP THE STRUCTURE LIGHT I USED FLAT AND SQUARE TOOTHPICKS TO CREATE MANY LAYERS.

THE SQUARE TOOTHPICKS HAD POINTED ROUND ENDS THAT I CUT OFF.

STARTING THE MAIN HORIZONTAL SUPPORTS, I USED THE MIDDLE PART OF A SQUARE TOOTHPICK AND PUT THE END OF A FLAT TOOTHPICK AT ITS MIDDLE.

EVERY OTHER PART WAS BUILT IN THIS WAY.

USE ENOUGH GLUE, HAVE PLENTY OF TIME AND A LITTLE CREATIVITY, AND YOU'VE GOT A BRIDGE.
